Faith, Hope, and Love

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
-1 Corinthians 13:13

It’s one of those passages everyone knows, but I know personally I never really thought about, or at least now have gained new understanding of. When it really comes down to it though there’s nothing greater or more important than faith, hope and love.

Faith: Faith is not just believing in God, for even demons believe, but it’s living your life by faith. I’m the first to admit that’s quite the tall order, but living your live by faith makes all the difference. Having faith in God, and surrendering your life to his will is the single most important decision you can make, for I feel it’s essential for truly welcoming Jesus into your heart. Knowing that you can’t make it by yourself, no matter how well you can compose yourself, save face, and keep your life on track it’s impossible to truly live without having God at the center of your life, and living by faith.

Hope: In this ever-so dark and dreary world we live in I can understand how hope could come hard to non-Christians, but with the promises we have in Jesus I can hardly see how Christians can be anything by hopeful. No matter what situation we’re in or whatever’s going on in the world, I can rest assured that what God has in plan for my future is going to great! Any trials/tribulations we go through only prepare us for God’s plan in our lives.

And the greatest of these is Love:

As humans, created in God’s image I believe nothing is more important to us than love. We desire nothing more than to love and be loved unconditionally. No love is as wholesome, pure, joyful, and fulfilling as God’s love. I cannot even fathom the depth’s of God’s love for us. We turn our backs, and insult him on a daily basis, and it has no effect on how much he loves us. He loves each and everyone one of us so much he sent his son to die for us. Not only that but he also has an amazing and perfect plan for all of our lives. I could go on and on, but I’m pretty sure you get the idea.
